Bryan MacRobert began his career in the late 2000s at The Sadie Family Wines in the Swartland region of South Africa, and Terroir al Limit in Priorat, Spain. Under the Bryan MacRobert Wines label, he released the first vintage of his own wines in 2010. Bryan’s wines were pioneering, and they were instrumental in Swartland’s repositioning as a quality wine region. Bryan met a ‘Riojan’ winemaker on his travels, fell in love, and moved to Rioja in 2013. He founded Laventura, which means ‘The Adventure,’ and has been shaking up the traditionally conservative Rioja wine scene ever since.
